Cassie Osvatics is a writer and photographer located in the DC area. Her favorite past times include reading, writing, camping, and performing improv, often embarrassing her mother on stage.

Cassie holds a B.A. in English From the University of Maryland with a notation from the Jiménez-Porter Writers’ House in poetry. During her time at the university, she was a photographer and reporter for UMD Writer’s Bloc and a concert photographer for Bandsintown. She is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Creative Writing at American University. Her work can be found in The Offing, Cliterature Journal, and 521 Magazine.

In her writing, Cassie attempts to become more honest with her reader by admitting difficult truths to herself. She finds this as well in her photography, revealing both excitement and pain in her subjects.
